Sistema Unificado de Manejo y Administración de Casos, also known as SUMAC, is a technological tool that, among other features, allows for the electronic filing of court documents to streamline the handling and administration of cases before the courts.
Currently, civil, family relations, and child protection cases are filed and managed electronically through SUMAC under Law No. 57-2023 in the 13 judicial regions, with the exception of traffic ticket inspections and other municipal civil matters.
